That’s right, the man who played plantation slave Neidermeyer in the award winning movie, “Loving,” is a black man. Not only that, but current stars such as Kevin Spacey, Denholm Elliott, Dabney Coleman, Efren Ramirez and many others are also of black descent.

Black American men dominate the entertainment business. This is evident in the casts of popular TV shows, movies and even in some sports. Hip-hop artists like Kanye West, Jay Z, and countless others have become some of the most well known and influential artists of our time because they are Black. The influence of the Black-owned industry extends into our fashion.

Let’s take a closer look at Black Hollywood as an example of how things are done these days. One of the most popular and stylish actors in Hollywood right now is Tobey Maguire. He is also one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood today. Maguire is currently up for an Oscar for his role as the young boy with autism, Violet in the film “The Social Network.” His role is so convincing, that people all over the world are talking about it, including Oprah and CNN.

While both are White Americans, they have made Black Americans very popular within the entertainment industry through the movies that they have directed. Daniels has directed four movies about the life of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, and one movie that was made about the death of King. All of his films have been successful, and he has received many awards and Golden Globe nominations for his work.

Another Black actor who is popular in the Black community is Michael Caine. He is an award winning screenwriter, director, and actor. More recently, he has been nominated for an Oscar for his role as Martin Luther King in the biopic “Lincoln.” In all of his films, he has received eight Academy Awards, and he always wears a t-shirt that says “I’m not just a Black Man” with the picture of a lion on his shirt.
