One of the most popular films about Hollywood would have to be Sunset Boulevard. This is one of the most well-known movies ever made about Hollywood. Based on the true story of Charlie Chan, the film portrays the life that Chan led as a successful movie actor and Hollywood movie star. Many films about Hollywood have taken the shape of events that actually happened. For example, the Billy Budd film was based around the fact that Budd was working on a movie about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. While making this film, he also had to contend with many rumors regarding his real life, as well.

Another film that would qualify as a movie about Hollywood would have to be The Replacements. This is a movie about four TV actors that were replaced during the filming of a popular TV show. Although they only spent a small amount of time on the show, these four actors became overnight celebrities when they came back to Hollywood and started appearing on various talk shows. Due to their status as instant celebrities, these four actors were able to land roles in other popular TV shows as well.

Collateral

Of course, there have been many movies about Hollywood that tackle the topic of which actor is the best actor of all time. One of the most notable of these films is Collateral. Starring in this film was George Clooney, who is one of the most well-known actors from Hollywood today. As an ensemble cast, Clooney also had the wonderful talents of Denholm Elliott, Kevin Spacey, Edward Norton, and Emmannuel Chriqi to play different characters in the film.

Barton Fink

Another wonderful film that Hollywood has produced is Barton Fink. This is a movie that focuses on the life of the great musician, Barton Fitzgerald. This film chronicles the many travels that the great artist took while he was growing up, and the many triumphs that he was involved with as he grew into adulthood.The late film star Gene Wilder was also featured in a film about Hollywood. This is a great example of how the life and times of an actor can mirror the lives of people while they are still alive. Of course, this type of film would be impossible to make if not for the late George C. Scott. Mr. Scott played the title role of Danny Zuko in A History Of Violence. This film not only starred Wilder but also was directed by Sam Hanks.

One of the most fun things to do when considering movies about Hollywood is to compare the various films that have been produced in this industry throughout the years. Of course, one will always hear about movies about Hollywood horror movies. These are horror films that are produced with the intention of scaring the pants off people who watch them. Examples of these types of movies include The Shining, The Exorcist, The Shape and The Dead Zone. Other examples of this type of horror films include Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Rosemary’s Baby and The Shining.

One of the most popular genres that Hollywood churns out each year is comedies. These are films that are intended to provide some humor and often parodies of current events. For example, the recent hit film, Finding Nemo, which was produced by Disney, poked fun at many of the more politically correct topics of today. One of the more interesting comedies that comes to mind when discussing movies about Hollywood involves the Sunset Boulevard scene.
