When the Endgame was released in 2019, everyone tried to make sure that they would be able to see it right away. That film is considered to be one of the most anticipated Marvel films in history. That is because the film prior to that made some shocking revelations that led to everyone wanting to see Endgame. This film began where the Infinity War left off and it stars the main Avenger cast. Unfortunately, the film had to sacrifice some of its main characters which depict the end of an era.
The film managed to snag over $2.7 billion in the worldwide box office, which is the highest Marvel one up to date. The Avengers failed to defeat the supervillain, Thanos, in Infinity War, so you would be glad to see this one if you have not already. This is also the first film that we saw Captain Marvel fighting with the Avengers.
The second one is, of course, the film prior to Endgame since it was also highly anticipated during that time. This is the first-ever film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe wherein all th heroes united. The main Avengers were joined by the Guardians of the Galaxy who fought alongside them. Other superheroes like Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and more also joined them, making it a huge ensemble cast.

This is where S.H.I.E.L.D led by Nick Fury had to form the original Avengers which consists of Iron Man, Capt. American, and more. The total domestic gross also went over the hundred million marks making it a solid beginning for a franchise.
According to film experts, building up the ensemble cast of superheroes managed to hit the mark. Their standalone films also created that build-up which led to all of this. Iron Man started it all back in 2008 and his own trilogy actually broke box-office records.
